Policies

General

• Lesson dates will be scheduled according to the french Zone C calendar.
• All lessons will be with a single student, and will take place on a day and time agreed upon by the student and teacher.
• Before payment at the beginning of each trimester, the teacher will explain to the student and/or parent the curriculum for that semester.
• Like any other school subject or activity, piano lessons require a certain level of committment. The student will be expected to practice between lessons.

Payment

• Students must enroll for lessons on a trimester basis. Each trimester consists of approximately 12 lessons, and students are entitled to a single trial lesson before enrolling.
• Enrollment is possible at any time during the year on a space-permitting basis. In case of late enrollment tuition will be prorated.
• Tuitions for each trimester are calculated according to the number of scheduled lessons and the following lesson fees:
  • 25 € for each 30 minute lesson.
  • 35 € for each 45 minute lesson.
  • 45 € for each 60 minute lesson.
• Payment must be received before the start of each trimester and before any trial lessons. No lessons will be given before payment has been received.

Cancellations

• Lesson times will not be extended if the student is late.
• If a student cancels a previously agreed upon lesson (as a result of a school commitment, strike, illness, etc.), the teacher has no obligation to reschedule this lesson. Missed or cancelled lessons will not be refunded.
• If the teacher must cancel a lesson, it will either be rescheduled at a later date or refunded.
• Students can terminate lessons at the end of any trimester. If lessons are terminated during the trimester, those lessons that have already been paid for, but that have not yet been given, will not be refunded.
