Biography
I was born in Osijek, Croatia, where I began my music education at the age
of seven. My formal piano study started with Dora Sobovic at the Franjo Kuhac School of Music, after which I was accepted to the Academy of Music in Zagreb. Studying under the guidance of professor Damir Sekosan, I graduated in 1998, and then started working as a piano teacher and accompanist at my former school, the Franjo Kuhac School of Music.
In 1999, I moved to Århus, Denmark, where I continued piano studies at The Royal Academy of Music with professor Sergei Senkov, who was visiting from Gnessin State Music College, Moscow. After earning a Master in piano performance, accompanying and chamber music, I began studying organ at the Vestervig School of Church Music, where I obtained a degree in organ performance in 2005. I have participated in numerous master classes (such as with Dmitri Bashkirov, Eugene Indjic and Kevin Kenner), have worked as an accompanist, and am a member of the European Piano Teacher's Association (EPTA).
From 2002 to 2008, I worked as a piano teacher and church organist in the Århus and Copenhagen areas in Denmark. Currently, I am living in Paris, France, where I teach on a private basis. Although I teach to all age groups and levels of accomplishment, I find working with children and young adults to be the most fulfilling. I speak English, Danish, and Croatian fluently, and have a working knowledge of French. On a part-time basis, I also work as a freelance Danish-Croatian translator.
